Calendar Girls the Musical is penned by Gary Barlow (of Take That fame) and Tim Firth (who wrote the original film and stage play). It tells the true and inspirational story of a group of ordinary women in a small Yorkshire Women's Institute (WI) who decide to do something extraordinary. 

 

Prompted by the tragic loss of one member's husband, the ladies decide to raise money for a local hospital by creating an artistic nude calendar. This courageous act of defiance against the WI's usual tea and scones image brings them global attention, tests their friendships, and ultimately celebrates life, community, and standing by those you love.
